The School of Accounting is pleased to announce the RMIT Governance and Sustainability Conference, 2018.  The theme of the conference ‘Leveraging Design and Integrated Thinking for Innovation’ is inspired by the opportunities arising from combining two distinct approaches to develop innovative and sustainable solutions based on user-centred empathy, critical analysis, agility and integrated thinking.

The RMIT GAS Conference, 2018 warmly invites thought leaders and key researchers in this area to share cutting edge knowledge and ideas that inspire more responsible and sustainable futures. The aim of this conference is to explore, make apparent and celebrate how design and integrated thinking can aid and even shape accounting and governance technologies in supporting innovation. We call for both conceptual and empirical papers that expand the borders of knowledge and challenge the imagination of accounting and governance researchers on the effects of design and integrated thinking.

Specialist expert panels will also discuss the challenges in adopting design approaches and integrated thinking within the context of Integrated Reporting, Frugal Innovation, Inclusive Capitalism and Business Design Thinking.

We thus warmly welcome you to be part of this exciting gathering of our community of researchers and practitioners who are dedicated to enhancing governance and sustainability systems.
